2025 Research Agenda
Collaboration with Stanford University
I’m thrilled about our collaboration with Dr. Stephanie Balters at Stanford University’s Empowerment Neuroscience lab to study the impact of Compassionate Accountability on self-efficacy and empowerment. We currently have two grant-funded studies in the works.
Validation of the Compassionate Accountability Assessment
Thank you to Dr. AJ Marsden and the research team at Though Leadership Leverage for their independent validation study on our Compassionate Accountability Assessment (CAA) which anchors all our assessment, training, and coaching services. The verdict: The CAA is reliable and valid. Up next, we are working on a free report based on this assessment so that anyone in the world can find out their Compassion Skills, Drama Risks, and Drama Resilience.
Do you want a flourishing culture? The Drama Resilience Index, measured by the CAA, shows a person or team’s capabilities to use Compassionate Accountability to lead through conflict for positive results instead of negative drama.
If you want your team and workplace to flourish, we can help you move the needle by increasing drama resilience through Compassionate Accountability assessment, training, coaching, consulting, and train-the-trainer certification.
Trust and Conflict Research
Trust and conflict have a complex relationship that needs to be understood better. Which comes first for high-performing teams? How do leaders experience trust and conflict in their daily lives? What is the impact of workplace drama on organizations? How does conflict negotiation skill impact leaders and their companies?
To answer these and other critical questions, we are launching a two-part study of trust and conflict. In part one, I’m interviewing top thought leaders to distill current thinking and best practices. A big thank you to some of my contributors, Stephen MR Covey, David Horsager, Lianne Davey, Randy Conley, and Rob McKenna, who are generously sharing their experience and wisdom.
In part two, we are launching the Trust and Conflict Survey to gather input from leaders at all levels. Are you a leader who wants to build a trusting team and feels the increasing tension of conflict at work? We need your help with our research. Take the survey and share the link on your social channels and with other leaders in your organization.

Between The Lines – Distilling Insights from the Compassionate Accountability Podcast
To make time for research, I am taking a break from recording new podcast episodes. But don’t worry, the value of my podcast will continue! Each of my episodes contains so much more insight than might come through in a 30-minute conversation. So, instead of recording new episodes this year, I am going to revisit my archives and glean new insights. Here’s a sneak peek.
Watch for new “Between The Lines” mini-videos on Linkedin and our YouTube channel.
